Learn about our mental health treatment and social services

  • A diagnostic assessment is a clinical evaluation of an individual's mental health, intellectual and developmental disability, or substance use condition. The assessment results in the issuance of a report with a recommendation for services and a treatment plan.

  • Outpatient therapy is a service that is designed to work with individuals and/or families to address identified mental health, substance use or developmental disability diagnosis or a combination along with medical comorbidities. This service is aimed at helping achieve emotional wellness when individuals are experiencing or dealing with emotional issues, relationship issues within and outside the family. Our team works with clients to truly understand their issues and develop strategies to improve specific situations. As part of this service, Watson Community Health Centre is able to offer trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy by clinicians through OH Child Treatment Program.

  • Struggling with mental health, substance use, grief, trauma, violence, or any other adversities of life and its uncertainty can be a challenge. Crisis intervention services are provided (including prevention and amelioration; i.e. identifying triggers that could result in a potential crisis and developing a crisis management plan).

  • Our case management involves a coordinated approach to providing assistance to individuals and families in need. It encompasses a range of activities and services designed to support and empower clients. Case managers connect clients with appropriate services and resources, such as housing, food security, and transportation. They act as a liaison between the client and various service providers.

  • Psycho-social rehabilitation (PSR) services are designed to help individuals with psychiatric disabilities. PSR focuses on skill and resource development with the goal of increasing the client’s ability to manage their illness, live independently with as little professional intervention as possible, and to participate in community opportunities related to functional, social, educational and vocational goals.

  • Telehealth therapy is a complement to our in-person counseling services. Telehealth therapy increases access to care by overcoming barriers to services, such as access to reliable transportation, scheduling conflicts, needing to take time off work, etc. Telehealth therapy services use online videoconferencing technology (e.g., Zoom) to connect individuals to the help they need—anytime, anywhere. Watson Community Health Centre utilizes a HIPAA-compliant hardware and software platform that meets all state and federal laws and regulations for confidentiality and privacy.

We also offer therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents that are coordinated with the child's academic or vocational services through enrollment in an educational setting.

“I personally turned my negative outlook on my life and experience into a new beginning and living testimony that your Mental health is important to your recovery and it doesn't define who you are. I'm Living Proof that Watson Community Health Centre can offer you the best services with positive uplifting results. I'm Proof of that. Thank you, Watson Community Health Centre.”
